Update that Luca got his cast off last week. Dr. Mosca didn't see much progress with the last one so thought there was no reason to have him keep wearing a cast. Luca did get fitted for new AFO's which will be ready for pick up next Friday. (a swirl rainbow design that Luca picked out with dad and I look forward to seeing)
Everyone is happy to have that cast off esp. Luca! John and I are also happy for many reasons and one being he can start smelling better. Luca loves the bath, but it is hard to bathe with a cast on.
Here are a few pictures of Luca and Juliette in the bath together with glow sticks. Pretty fun! Luca spent about an hour in the bath this evening. Great activity for the last hour of the day before bed and before daddy gets home from work.
Another few fun things to do now that Luca doesn't have a cast on:
gymnastics open gym (we have been three times this week)
swimming pool (twice this week)
a little "hike" in Lincoln park today
splashing in puddles wearing his rain boots
I am so thankful that Luca had so much casting done as a baby even though I thought it was terrible then (and it was), he also doesn't remember it. Now it is so much harder as he has feelings, thoughts, and emotions to go along with the casting process. I am very grateful we got so much done in the first two years.
