Hiking near Mount Rainer

Nana Walker came to visit a few weeks ago and we headed down to Mount Rainer. We had a great time. Luca did an amazing job hiking! I was super impressed and he was pleased to be able to hike as long and as high as he did! Juliette needs year or two...What a beautiful state we live in!

Peter and Kara came to visit!

John and I have great friends from high school, Peter and Kara. They live in DC and came out on a West Coast Trip. We were so glad to see them and for the kids to get to play together! We all had a blast!

Friends united...and then another hard good bye

Jess, Kimi and the kids were here to summer. It was wonderful to see them, really wonderful. They made a long trek out to Seattle from Kigali! Of course the time is always too short when you are with good friends and the good-byes are hard. It was so good to see you all! We miss you already!

Franklin Falls

John took the kids on a hike to Franklin Falls while I was at work last Sunday. Here are a few pictures! They had a lot of fun, so I hear!

10 years and counting

John and I got to spend 4 days on Orcas Island this week. Here is one of our top pictures from the trip! We had such a great time. We spent a lot of time relaxing, and renewing our energy through running, eating amazing food, watching the sunset and swimming in the lake! What a trip! Thanks to my parents for watching Luca and Juliette while we were gone. Now I think they need a vacation:)
