"Ding, ding, there goes the train"
Our seats on the dinner train
The girls
Silly faces
My two handsome men
We went to the Old Spaghetti factory for dinner tonight on a family date. It was really special and a lot of fun. Luca loved riding in the trolley and we had many stops such as Alaska and California on our dinner journey. Juliette ate a lot and Luca could not have been happier when they brought him ice cream for dessert! What a treat to be able to do this together tonight!

My running buddy
Luca and I went on our first "run" today. Luca wanted to go running with me. The "run" included running down the block, going through the alleys, Luca riding on my shoulders, measuring how deep the puddles with a stick and walked back up to our house. And all with a cast.

Happy Valentine's Day
John and I spent our first Valentine's Day together my senior year of high school when I asked him to Sadie Hawkins at BFA. He had to dress up like Zorro. Pretty fun to think back on all the past Valentine's Days together.
This year, 14 years....John took the kids to the doctor this morning. They both had ear infections and are on antibiotics...again.
We ordered pizza tonight and it was almost comical trying to "enjoy" the meal and eat with Juliette screaming and fussy.
I decided to finish my dinner after she was asleep so I could eat in peace.
A few interesting notes from the day. My parents sent a e-card valentine. I showed it to Luca and he said he wanted to "hug the smiley face" Pretty cute. Thanks for thinking of us mom and dad.
Also John and Luca ate some Valentine candy and it turned their tongues green.
Juliette was unusually fussy today. Hope the medicine kicks in for tomorrow! This is a picture of her yesterday when she didn't need to be held all day:) But it is ok, we love holding her.

Nana Walker's visit
Playing
air hockey with the safety door knobWe are having lots of fun with Nana Walker. Going to the park, making puzzles, and playing! Here are some pictures of what we have been up to lately! Can't you just see how happy Luca is! He has such a great big smile! And is so glad that Nana could come to visit!
(he isn't always happy but when he is he really is happy and a lot of fun to be around!)
Happy Birthday Juliette
Juliette turned one today! I can't believe it. I think that is the theme throughout this year. "I can't believe how fast it is going"
She is growing and changing so fast! It doesn't seem a whole year ago that she was born.
Currently some things about Juliette:
She learning to walk and can take a few steps on her own. Everyday she seems to gain a little more courage and try a few more times. She started about a week ago and is making process quickly.
She has started screaming...a lot...when she is happy, excited, mad or frustrated.
She loves books, especially about animals. She also loves stuffed animals and real animals! (I think she inherited that from her namesake Aunt Besty)
She loves to eat and it is such a joy to watch her feed herself!
She hates getting her diaper changed and getting dressed and you have to be ready to wrestle when you think, "I am going to change her diaper now." I have always won but it is quite a match every time.
Juliette LOVES the bath. We call her "water baby"
She can say, "bye-bye" and picks up a phone to her ear and says "hello" the intonation is there the sounds, not so much), mama, dada, ah-oh
She loves other kids and people. She also loves riding in the shopping cart.
Juliette ate lots of duck lasanga on her birthday dinner and loved the cake Luca made with green frosting, we celebrated the other day when John was off, and then again tonight with a little cupcake. No end to the celebration of this little girl's life! We love you Juliette and are so thankful for you!

Winter Bonfire
A new friend of ours, Sarah, organized a winter bon fire at Alki beach with roasting hot dogs and making smores! What a great idea! The kids had a blast! We all can't wait for summer why not just have to have a campfire in the winter:)

A sunny day in Seattle with Nana
We are so glad to have Nana Walker here visiting. The weather has not been great but we did have one sunny day and went to the park. Luca's cast didn't slow him down but it is important to have two adults when Luca and Juliette are both at the park.
