Luca's artwork

 Luca has begun doing some amazing artwork during rest time. (His 1-2 hours in his room by himself after lunch). He sits on the floor and uses markers. There are a few pieces of art from school in this grouping too as I wanted to show you how he can write his name! So proud of Luca!

  The girl with long hair above is Alisasa and the boy is Diego and the face in the middle is baby Jaguar.

 John drew a skeleton and Luca copied it. I also drew dots for him to trace but he did all of the tracing and coloring himself! I am so impressed!

Halloween

Luca dressed up as an astronaut and Juliette was a ballerina

with wings. They could not have been cuter! Our friends, Dale, Kate, Sabine and Ingrid came over to trick or treat together! Lots of fun and way too much candy for anyone! I didn't go trick or treating as a kid so it is really entertaining to me to experience it as an adult.
I like the chance to meet neighbors and say hello to people who live nearby!

Jumping in Fall Leaves!

Jen invited us to a beautiful time of jumping in fall leaves at Lincoln Park! Great idea, Jen and so fun!

Peek a BOO!

Juliette loves playing peek a boo and hide and seek. Hard to capture in a picture but this was my best attempt!

Anya is turns ONE at the pumpkin patch!

We had a lot of fun celebrating Anya's first birthday at the pumpkin patch! I got some great pictures...which seems hard to do these days. It is fun to think of how much Anya has changed this last year and will this coming year. The first few years are such exciting ones and dramatic ones!
Juliette, below looks like she is saying "hey friend, Happy Birthday!"

A fall update...

I haven't updated in a while and it is time to get caught up a little bit! never would have thought I would
First off, we have two children who LOVE books. It is so fun to see Juliette in corners of the house with a pile of books just looking at them page by page!

She is 20 months! Crazy, how fast her little life is going! She is tall and growing so fast. She wears 2 T. Just measured her the other day and found she is taller than Luca was when he turned 2.
She has curly, crazy hair, that I love!
We finally kicked the bottles out of the house! Just recycled them all on Monday. She is transitioning to sippy cups beautifully!
She has been sick...on and off with a fever all week, turns out she has a urinary tract infection and is on meds now. Sad to see her hot and not herself but she hasn't complained much!
She loves stuffed animals and real animals! People and babies! She says hello and good bye to everyone she sees even when she is in the car and they are outside walking around. Pretty funny!
Juliette also LOVES shoes...whoever comes over and takes the risk of taking their shoes off..she will probably try them on esp. if they are kid shoes! She brings us our shoes before we leave the house and likes to pick hers out as well!

Luca and Juliette are starting to play together more and it is fun to see their friendship developing.

Luca is loving school both at Boren and at the playgarden! Luca is making new friends and enjoying old ones too! Fridays are the best now since he gets to go play all morning the playgarden and then Grandma Martha comes over! I am looking forward to getting to run and have a quiet moment tomorrow (Friday)!
Luca is also back in swimming lessons, which he loves! We got an exception so he can stay in the three's class which is wonderful! Long story....
Luca got to go camping with John, and his good friend and ours, Sabine and Dale! It was a dream come true, from smores, to salmon fishing and catching, to sleeping in a tent with John, to splashing in the river and playing with Sabine. It was a great weekend for the dads and big kids!

And speaking of fishing and family...
HAPPY 90th BIRTHDAY to Grandpa Jim! Wish we could be there to celebrate your birthday with you and the family!!! Very thankful for your love and encouragement for Luca and our family since day 1! We love you!

Popcorn Time!

We had a little popcorn party yesterday! Luca helped me air pop the popcorn and Juliette really helped us eat it!
